Medical Voice Therapy

Personalized care for vocal health issues, backed by evidence-based techniques.

Voice concerns can arise from a number of issues, including medical causes, aging, overuse or misuse, or acute/chronic tension episodes. If you have had voice changes which have persisted for longer than two weeks and impact your daily activities, particularly following a medical event or extreme voice use, it is recommended to visit a medical professional such as a general practitioner or otolaryngologist/ENT for assessment. A medical professional, preferably one who has the ability to perform laryngeal imaging such as stroboscopy or endoscopy, can determine if there is an underlying cause for your voice changes or refer you to a more specialized professional who can. Once a diagnosis has been established, voice therapy is available for improving voice quality and function for maintaining personal safety and desired quality of life.

Please note: laryngeal imaging is highly recommended for persistent or unexpected changes in voice, as a voice professional can assess perceptual or acoustic voice characteristics, but cannot diagnose structural or anatomical factors without visualization of the vocal folds and surrounding laryngeal structures. Think of it as diagnosing heart disease without a chest x-ray just based on listening to the heartbeat, or assessing car malfunctions based on the engine sounds without popping the hood to check.

We are currently private pay only. Tricare and Medicare insurance billing eligibility is pending at this time.

Performance Voice Coaching

Elevate your vocal performance, clarity, and confidence with coaching tailored to your goals.

Whether you are a former or current voice professional or just enjoy singing along to the greatest hits of your favorite decade in your shower or car, voice training may be beneficial for maintaining a functional voice throughout your lifespan or to assist with developing more musical voice timbres. Voice training helps voice users maintain a healthy voice balance for any desired vocal tasks, and to confirm an authentic, representative self-image. Medical assessment/diagnosis is not necessarily needed for voice training depending on your goals unless persistent concerns are present.

Voice training services are private pay. Fee reduction may be available for financial hardships or for students under age 18. Please discuss financial concerns with your provider.
